There is nothing better than sitting down with loved ones around the table, filling up on delicious food, and focusing on thankfulness. This time of year always comes around quickly, and holiday dinners remind us to slow down time, look each other in the eye, and thank God for all our blessings. If you need some quick inspiration for the 2021 holiday season, we are showing you how to dress your table for the holidays!
Besides just being in the midst of family, the other fun part about holiday dinners is decorating, of course! Setting the table for the holidays sets the stage for cozy conversation and an elevated sense of inspiration. We’ve curated what we believe to be the perfect items to dress your table this season!
From place mats, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, and napkins to centerpieces, candles, and decorative accessories – we’ve got you covered!
When you sit down at your table, you should have everything you need right in front of you. It should also be beautiful to look at! For our setting, we’ve utilized texture, depth, and a pop of color to give it that “wow” factor.
For texture, notice the placemat! We found these beautiful hide placemats and love the way they create the base for each setting. We also love how they’re all slightly different, and the colors range throughout the table.
For depth, we’ve layered dishware for every course of the meal, and changed up the colors throughout to create that three-dimensional effect.
Lastly, the pop of color! We went with these beautiful yellow linen napkins for a nod to the autumnal season. The wonderful thing about fall is it holds a completely different color scheme than the fast approaching Christmas season, and we like to take Thanksgiving to embrace that!
Equally as important as the place settings are what you place in the center of your table. What we’ve been loving is variety – the fact that you can use different objects with different functions to give your table a life of its own. For example, we used white pumpkins, candlesticks, figurines, and foliage to create dimension.
The holiday season can often be associated with stress. However, remember that it’s all about expressing your creativity and connecting with the people you love! Have fun with it. These are the moments that make life beautiful.
