2021 has been a year of new beginnings, growth, and…connecting with amazing people! We are so excited to share our 2021 year in review.

This year we re-opened at our new location on the square in downtown Franklin, after a long wait for running water (thanks for being patient with us!). 2021 brought amazing outcomes and popularity of our new opening from a mass of people welcoming our new concept. We expanded our design clients tremendously, and have had some incredible projects get started this year. More than anything 2021 is a year of GREATNESS + GRATITUDE.

Here are a few highlights looking over our shoulder with a huge smile of thanksgiving…

2021 DESIGN HIGHLIGHT

This fun loft in downtown Franklin we finished was so fun and unique. Our clients allowed us the opportunity to upscale it in a way that brought a better cohesion, a little edge of style, while reinventing their new look.

Location: Franklin, TN

Overall Feel: The overall feel of this space is unique with touch of edgy-modern. We used animal prints, wild art, and a blend of finishes to create a slightly unexpected look and feel.

Design Process: We painted the interiors walls Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. Then we had the island painted as well in Iron Ore. Together it brought the existing perimeter cabinets alive and brought a touch of lightness to the space. Because of it’s north-facing exposure we brought the walls brighter and added depth to finishes and furnishings. Adding strategic placement of mirrors and adding additional well-watted lighting we were able to bring a bit of a drab, and not cohesive space, together.

2021 HOME MARKET FAVORITES

We have had record breaking numbers of people come into our home market! It has been incredible to meet people from all over the country. We have had visitors from New York, Brazil, California, and more. The masses of visitors, new comers to Franklin and Nashville, have come by to see us. We are so thrilled to have been their welcome to town spot. These are by far some of the best selling items we sold this year. Leather, style, unique and meaningful is what hit the counter when people were on the look out for something new for their home or gift giving needs. Looking back on what has caught the eye of our visitors has been so fun to add to our 2021 year in review.

2021 COFFEE LOUNGE STATISTICS

Our coffee lounge has been an exciting edition to the Onyx + Alabaster experience. We have loved being able to serve the community with delicious curated drinks, food, and pastries. It has been so fun to look at the statistics of the coffee lounge in just the few short months we have been open. Here are some of our favorite stats!:

Number of Lattes Sold: 13,801

That’s just lattes! That doesn’t include drip coffee, teas, food, and more! Wow, we are blown away by the popularity of our signature coffee brews and the welcoming our coffee lounge has experienced.

In close, we are so grateful for all that has happened in 2021! We’ve had a terrific year, have met some amazing people, grown our design client roster and have had the opportunity to grow a community of people that see the value in people, design, and coffee. We love what we do and we love serving each of you. Thank you for being part of our story, for spending time with us, for trusting us with your design process and purchases, and for truly making this our best year to date. We are eternally grateful for the favor we’ve found, the faces we’ve met, and the amazing staff we’ve built. We started our new location with merely 7 of us and have now over 23 team members to serve you. It’s been a wild year of growth, and we are honored to be one of the anchoring businesses in downtown Franklin. Thank you for taking the time to read about our 2021 year in review. Bring on 2022!
